Four Leaves on a Stone

image

My wife, Jean, found these four leaves laying beneath their tree – along the track behind our house in the fall of 2014.  She arranged them on the stone and took the image with her Nokia Phone.

New Guinea Impatiens

My wife grew these in our back yard a few summers ago.  They are annual plants and come in a few different colors.

Cardinals and Blue Jay enjoy Fresh Snow at the Feeders

image

We had a three inch snow on 2/26/2015.  These were some of the first birds to arrive at the Feeders.  We are expecting 3-6 more inches March 1, 2015. (All we need is another snow.)

I captured this image while walking the Bicycle/ Running/Walking Track behind our home.

Bating the Hooks

image

Somebody caught this ole fool baiting his grand-daughter’s hooks.  He looks more like a disgruntled doctor than a fisherman.  He must of dozed off prior to this shot because someone stuck cotton in his ear.

Ming all curled up for a snooze.

Cats will sleep anywhere it’s comfortable.  Ming even has a sleeping spot atop our dryer.  Cats love to be warm in winter.

Gone Fishin and still Wishin

image

That poor soul is me.  My wife and I took two of our grand-daughter’s fishing a few years ago. I picked the lake not knowing it was so full of grasses any lure or worm cast into the lake ended up setting on the top instead of sinking and working – for the most part.  Not a good fish story. (they each managed to catch one little one.

Ming chillin atop the Refridgerator

image

Ming often jumps atop the fridge to get a high vantage point.  Here he looks content despite the light spot near the the top of the fridge.  (He hates it if something detracts from him.)

Ooops!

I deleted my most recent post, Backyard – Fall Coming, when I discovered I had posted it a few weeks ago.  My bad!

A Country Driveway

image

My wife and I go driving in the country once in a while and we passed this driveway over the years before I ever shot this image.  There is just something about it that makes one want to drive or walk to the end.  This Spring I intend to take a wider angle shot.  We’ll see what it looks like then.

Our Garage and Flower Garden – Late Spring 2009

image

I shot this image before we bought and planted our Flowering Crab Tree which you see in all of our recent images with the birds.

Resting above the Feeder

image

The birds were waiting for the Feeders to get re-filled this gloomy afternoon.  They come every day – many of them.  Sometimes the tree is almost full of Cardinals, Sparrows, Blue Jays, and Chickadees.
