The Morning Sun

Sun Rising into the Trees_edited-1

Sun Shining through the Trees_edited-1

The other morning I captured the top image just as the sun was beginning to cover the tree.  About a half hour later the Sun had moved to the point where you see it in the bottom image.  I thought it was neat.  I hope you do.  Honestly, I had no intention of taking the bottom image.  I just happened to look outside and was happy to see what had taken place.

“Dan has not left the Building.”

I’ve been busy with work around home recently  – painting and such -and now one of my daughters is coming to visit for a month.

                                           BUT

I’ll be out and shooting in the next week or two. “Don’t run off!”

Muffin snoozing on our Deck

image

I had been scraping our deck to paint it for the year – you can see some scraping in the left foreground.  I went into the house for a while,  and when I looked through our sliding glass door there was Muffin right where I’d been working. I cropped this image the best I could to cut out the other scraping around her.  By the way, the deck is now painted.

Black-Eyed Susans

image

This lovey group of Black-Eyed Susans are growing in our Backyard Flower Garden.  Left to their own devices they would take over the garden.  They really brighten up the place.

Foggy morning in Central Illinois

image

A few weeks ago we woke up to this fog.  It didn’t take long for me to grab the camera.  By the way, there’s nothing wrong with your eyes – our trellis has a tilt all its own.

White Cone Flowers

image

These beautiful cone flowers were in full bloom a few weeks ago.  The orange tops have now gone dark – a kind of dark brown that will eventually turn solid black.  Then the American Gold Finch population will begin to show up for the yearly feast.  Every year it’s the same.

T-Shirts at Artist Websites.com

T-Shirts!  That right.  I am in the process of making my images available for you on a line of T- Shirts.  I’ve just finished adding T-Shirts to the first page of my images at my Artist Websites.com site.  Over the next two weeks you’ll be able to purchase T-Shirts for all my images at Artist Websites.  All major sizes and many  colors are available to choose from.  I think you’ll find the pricing competitive and to your liking.

That’s not all!  !  Later on there will be Sweatshirts, Turtle Necks, and more.  I’ll keep you advised as things progress.

If you were not aware,  I already have Pillows, Tote Bags, Shower Curtains, and some Phone Cases.

Wild Ornamental Grass with Trumpet Vine on Fence

image

The Ornamental Grass was growing outside our fence a few years ago – before we ever put up the new fence. Our daughter, visiting from Texas, uprooted it and transplanted it where you see it in this image. It was quite small then but look at it now. The trumpet vine quickly attached itself to the fence. It has yet to produce its first flower … probably next year.

Sun Breaking Through onto the Creek

Sun Breaking Through to the Creek

I took this image at Jubilee College State Park in Central Illinois.  I often shoot the creek because there”s always a new view – this time the creek has a babbling appearance due to a slight rocky drop off  that developed after a hard rain, and of course, the way the sun leads one down the creek.  This was taken  at around 6::30 PM.
