Two small Redbuds beyond the Meadow

At this time of year one can see across this meadow – it’s late April 2016. Th meadow grows quickly when we get a lot of rain – which we haven’t received yet this spring.  Our forecasts keep calling for rain but the Illinois River Valley has a way of beating the odds.

  1. The redbud trees in Austin began flowering in mid-February. Even the last of our redbud blossoms have been gone for at least a month.
