A Rock for the Ages

My wife and daughter – or grand-daughters – found this great piece of rock along the bicycle/walking path behind our home.  I don’t know if it’s petrified or not.  It certainly is remarkable.  We’ve had it a few years now.  It sits above our microwave on a bread/wine rack. Maybe one of you know what it is?

Peacock Temperature Gauge in our Flower Garden

This Peacock Temperature Gauge was given to us by one of our daughter’s – Adrienne.  It made for a nice ornamental addition to the natural surrounding flowers and plants.

Log Cabin Bird House

One of our daughters gave me this Log Cabin Bird House.  It even has a latchable back door for cleaning.  I haven’t hung it this year due to over abundant Wasp and Hornet populations.  I’m sure one or the other would make a home inside. NEXT YEAR!

The Golden Stallion

I’ve had this statue for many years and had never taken a photo of it until a few days ago.  Maybe setting atop my wardrobe has given it a more mature look or, most likely, I liked the way the light hit it. Anyway, sometimes shooting an object as it is provides a better view than attempting to make all the right adjustments to create an image.
