Two new Images with three previous ones – Winter Scenes

I thought I’d combine two new images – for the first time – with some older shots.

Resting above the Feeder

As you know, I love Cardinals and show them often … I’ll continue to do so.  This handsome fella was awaiting another turn on the feeder below.  Something caught his attention just as I snapped his image.

Male Cardinals Feeding

This is not the shot I was hoping for.  There had been twelve Males on the ground when I went to grab my camera – I came back to the window and a good many had been spooked off.

Female Cardinal waiting for the Feeder…thinks she’s hiding.

Female Cardinal waiting by the Feeder_wm

I shot this image yesterday morning as she waited to hop on the feeder. (feeder hook and cord visible on the left side of the shot.  She’s always at the feeeder with her mate seen on the previous post.

Male Cardinal enjoying a morning at the Feeder

This handsome gentleman is a regular at our garden feeder…feeder is just below him on another branch.  He spends time flitting back and forth from the feeder to the ground and seems content most of the time.

Cardnals gathering at the Feeder Tree

IMG_20180225_050840

It was really snowing this day and the Cardinals were gathering in strength at the feeder.  At one time I counted eighteen!  I realize it’s hard to see them as the snow was really coming down.

Female Cardinal rests between feedings

This pretty gal seems to be taking everything in around our feeder.  The feeder is actually below and to her right.

Peek-A-Boo to You

Peek-A-Boo to You 2_edited-4_wm

This Male Cardinal seemed determined I would not get his image.  I waited about a minute, camera in focus, before he turned his head toward me.  Fortunately, the feeder was almost empty.  I used my 75-300 Canon Zoom Lens for the shot.

This gentleman decided to claim the Feeder for a spell the other day.

Birds at the Feeder New Year’s Day

Birds at the Feeder New Years Day_edited-3_wm

I shot this image yesterday.  There were only a couple birds at the feeder.  Two Male Cardinals and one Junco.  A bit of the ole, De Ment, luck.  I just happened to hit the shutter as one of the Cardinals was in motion.  The other Cardinal is almost hidden by the dark of the window and the Junco looks on from the upper right. I have a good many images to load over the next few days.

Two Female Cardinals resting between feedings

I took this image a couple of years ago.  Did a bit of work in Aviary to sharpenen it best I could.  It’s still a bit fuzzy looking due to falling snow.

This is what it looks like.  I posted this a year ago but thought it might be something for my new followers and friends to consider.
