Resting above the Feeder

soitary male cardinal at the feeder_edited-1_wm

As you know, I love Cardinals and show them often … I’ll continue to do so.  This handsome fella was awaiting another turn on the feeder below.  Something caught his attention just as I snapped his image.

Our Snowy Backyard

I shot this image a few weeks ago and added a touch of Photoshop Express.  It was both a snowy and frosty morning.

I got lucky here managing to catch three out of four at rest.

BLUE JAY waiting for the FEEDER

IMG_20181212_061345

My wife and I enjoy the morning when this good looking Blue Jay arrives for his feeding. He’s not a bully but Sparrows, in particular, tend to fly up into the tree when he drops to the ground.

Spring is coming to the Midwest

IMG_20180421_070437

Backyard Flowers, Bushes and Trees are budding – in some cases flowers are blooming –  throughout the Midwest.  The Squirrel thinks so!  The grass is greening up quickly and a few neighbors have already mowed even though it’s very early in the season.

Spring in the Backyard – Touched Up

I shot and posted this image earlier but brought it back up for a little work.  Particularly the Flowering Crab and Daisy Plants.

Foggy Spring Morning

tmp_20170815211233_wm

I believe this was shot in the Spring of 2016 but perhaps this Spring. Remember, my Point and Shoot’s date and time stamp feature has stopped working.  It’s set, forever, on December 1979.

Early Spring 2017

Early Spring 2017_edited-1_wm

I took this image on April 14th this spring from inside the house as it was to cool for me to go out.  I’m afraid it’s not as well focused as any of us would like  – particularly the Flowering Crab.  I worked with it a bit in Photoshop Elements 6 but was unable to improve it beyond what you see here.  Anyway, it was early morning light and the Flowering Crabs flower’s are a crimson red. On the left is a Lilac Bush which, at the time, had not blomed.

Our Blooming Back Yard

Blooming Back Yard_edited-1_wm

I took this image of our, blooming back yard, yesterday afternoon. Kindly enlarge to see the Daffodils is their glory.  Interestinly enoigh, the Flowering Crab’s Red Flowers started to open after this shot was taken.  I’ll load them later.
