Grey Squirrels Feeding in the Snow

how we love the snow_edited-1_wm

A good morning for finding seeds in the snow. “We are expecting as much as nine inches by midnite tonight.”

This good looking Grey Squirrel, with a slightly brownish head, cautiously kept an eye on me as she was feeding the other morning.

This Grey Squirrel was feeding contently when I captured his image. He’s a bit dark but still a handsome little fella.

Leafy Earth Tones of Fall

img_1231

I shot this today with numerous other images I’ll be uploading in the next couple of weeks.  The rustic earth tones of the oak on the left caught my eye right away.  Later on I’ll be uploading some beautiful orange and red leafy trees and leaves.  This shot was taken at a local park.  The hillside is used for sliding in the winter when the snow is abundant.  The children love it because it’s long but not steep enough to scare them off.

Squirrel Picnic – Everyone’s Welcome

image

This little gathering is not unusual at our feeders.  The Black Squirrel gets along well with the other Grey Squirrels. Sometimes the Black one can look like a blur.

Mandy the Grey Squirrel

Mandy comes to the bird feeder each day.  She’s shy compared to Daisy but once in a while she’ll get close to our deck door.

Daisy the Grey Squirrel waiting for Peanuts

Daisy loves peanuts … of course.  She comes around , usually, each day before disappearing for long periods.  She loves to look into our windows and is not shy at all.  If you walk up to the window she’ll just set there and look at you for a bit.
