Muffin drinking

OOOPs!  This is Muffin…not Ming… loves to drink from the Bird Bath during winter months.  My wife takes a hammer to the frozen water each morning and then pours some fresh on top.

Grey Squirrel feeding

This Grey Squirrel was feeding contently when I captured his image. He’s a bit dark but still a handsome little fella.

Male Cardinal enjoying a morning at the Feeder

This handsome gentleman is a regular at our garden feeder…feeder is just below him on another branch.  He spends time flitting back and forth from the feeder to the ground and seems content most of the time.

Mid-October Snow

Mid October Snow_edited-1

I’ve been around for 75 years and I’ve never seen it snow in Mid-October in Peoria County, Illinois.  It was 42 degrees at ground level so it must have been really cold up in the sky for the snow to reach ground level.  It did not stick but it was a sight to see.

Ming and Muffin enjoying a quiet time

Ming and Muffin having a quiet time

Once in a great while Ming will sit and, seemingly, enjoy Muffin’s (our Feral Cat) company.  It’s rare, but as you see, it does happen.  Usually Ming is scratching at the door or window and Muffin darts off to the driveway.  Cats?
